From a guesthouse to a
4-star hotel in Sesto/Sexten – with residences
What began as a small guesthouse in South Tyrol has evolved over time into today’s stylish, luxuriously furnished accommodation in South Tyrol, the Family Resort Rainer.
The foundation is laid for what will one day become the Family Resort Rainer, then known as the Pension Rainer.
The Pension Rainer is expanded into a modern, light-filled 80-bed hotel; its distinctive semi-circular design sets it apart.
Willi Rainer acquires Villa Drei Birken – and thus Villa Rainer is born, your retreat on Sexten’s sunny slope.
The Pension Rainer’s main building is remodelled and expanded.
The Familienhotel Rainer’s gardens are created, featuring a 100-year-old Tyrolean mill with a working oven.
The Residence Königswarte Strata is built, with eight holiday apartments.
The Familienhotel Rainer adventure playground is created.
The former Hotel Garni Micheler from the 1970s is transformed into cosy holiday apartments: the Residence Alma is born.
The Family Resort Rainer’s beauty and wellness area is enlarged and named the Dolomit Panorama Spa. The Strata wing with spacious apartments complements the Residence Königswarte Strata.
The children’s playroom in the Familienhotel Rainer is expanded, and the outdoor pool is added.
The Residence Alma is expanded.
The Familienhotel Rainer’s reception area, restaurant entrance, and bar are renovated.
The Residence Königswarte Strata and the Residence Paramount Alma are connected to the Familienhotel Rainer via an underground passage. A ski room is added.
Nature inside and out: the Betulin wing is added to the Residence Villa Rainer. The design villa blends discreetly into the sunny slope, while the new Alpine Lounge bridges tradition and modern design.
The Residence Paramount Alma on the neighbouring slope is expanded with large holiday apartments.
Our rooms and suites are renovated every year with great attention to detail – for timeless comfort and a fresh living atmosphere.
