Meet the Rainers!

Holidays by families for families. Holidays with heart and passion. That’s how we describe family holidays at the Family Resort Rainer. Over the past 60 years, what began as a small bed and breakfast has grown into a world of well-being for families. And behind it all? The Rainer family, who have shaped this journey from the very beginning. Here’s who’s at the heart of it.

Alpine Stays for all Generations – by Family Rainer

Our Family Resort Rainer stands for Alpine joie de vivre, family hospitality, and conscious quality. A retreat in the heart of the Dolomites, dedicated to genuine, authentic holiday experiences. Experiences that connect generations and provide lasting relaxation. It is precisely the variety of our four properties – tradition and modernity, familiarity and individuality, activity and tranquillity – that combines all their special features into a harmonious whole. Whether action or silence, indulgence or inspiring design: at the Rainer Family Resort, you have the freedom to find what relaxation means to you.

The next generation of Rainers

Josef “Joe” Rainer, the eldest son of Agnes and Willi Rainer, runs the Familienhotel Rainer together with his wife Verena. With passion, vision, and attention to detail, they continue what Agnes and Willi began. Verena is the heart and soul of the hotel, taking care of almost everything, while Joe can usually be found on the ski slopes as an instructor or guiding guests through the mountains in summer.
Alex Rainer and his wife Barbara manage the Residence Villa Rainer.
Joe’s sister Judith and her husband Christian are the faces of the Residence Königswarte Strata. They also run Biwak 12, a small bed and breakfast with a pub and bistro in the village centre.
Christoph Rainer and his wife Ulla run the Residence Paramount Alma, as well as managing strategic planning and architectural decisions for the resort.
As you can see, ours is a colourful family team, where each contributes their own strengths. Together, we keep the Family Resort Rainer running smoothly – you’ll feel our warmth and unity in every corner of the resort.
