The Familienhotel Rainer is the perfect holiday destination for active parents and adventure-hungry kids. What makes it special? Its quiet, sun-drenched location on the forest’s edge. Here, children can safely explore – play, craft, build, and dig…. Family-friendly hiking paths and mountain-bike trails start right behind the hotel, and in winter the ski slope begins just outside the door. That means you can leave your car right here, because your adventures start the moment you step outside.
It’s time to step into the warmth. In our 2,000m2 wellness oasis, your little kids are in for a treat: a winding water slide splashing straight into the adventure pool and bubbling jets in the outdoor pool are ready to delight bathers of every age.
Gourmet delights for every taste and preference – beautifully prepared and, on request, gluten-free or lactose-free. That’s what you can expect at lunchtime and dinnertime at the Family Resort Rainer.
Would your kids prefer to enjoy their favourite meals in the company of their peers? They can join the supervised lunch table at the Familienhotel Rainer, offered Monday to Friday at lunchtime. And every evening from 7:00 p.m., a varied, wholesome buffet is served just for children – packed with all their favourites. While the little ones help themselves, you can savour antipasti and starters. Then, from 7:30 p.m., it’s back to play and fun during evening childcare at Raini Kid’s World – allowing you to finish dinner in peace.

The Familienhotel Rainer’s history
Discover how the Familienhotel Rainer – the founding hotel of the Family Resort Rainer – has evolved and grown over the decades.
The foundation is laid for what will one day become the Familienhotel Rainer, originally known as the Pension Rainer.
Driven by booming tourism, the Pension Rainer expands into a modern, light-filled 80-bed hotel. Its distinctive semicircular design breaks away from the traditional Tyrolean style, while every room gains a south-facing balcony for maximum sunshine. Sexten also gets its very first indoor pool and sauna. With its timber-clad facade blending into the natural surroundings, the upgrade introduces something entirely new: a true sense of space – from the wide entrance hall and broad corridors to the family rooms, generous balconies, and more.
The Pension Rainer undergoes a full renovation; the main building is remodelled and expanded.
The beauty and wellness area is expanded and renamed the Dolomit Panorama Spa.
The top floor is extended.
