Creating a future fit
for our grandkidsrat the Family Resort Rainer
At the Family Resort Rainer, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do – and it stems from a deep conviction. As a family-run resort surrounded by South Tyrol’s natural beauty, we see it as our responsibility to use resources carefully while contributing positively to the environment, society, and our regional economy.
Our efforts have been officially recognised: we proudly carry the South Tyrol Sustainability Label (Level 2), a certification based on a rigorous, externally audited assessment. It confirms that when it comes to sustainability, we don’t just talk the talk – we walk the walk:
- Ecological measures: Slippers are only provided on request, saving around one tonne of non-recyclable waste every year (about 1.2 tonnes of CO2).
- Sustainable mobility: We encourage our employees to use public transport with the South Tyrol Pass, reducing CO2 emissions by about 3.9 tonnes annually and easing local traffic.
- Social sustainability: We provide free childcare for local families, including access to our pool – supporting parents while giving back to the community.

The next steps towards
a sustainable future
Our sustainability journey is ongoing. In the coming months, we are intensifying our efforts, including further reducing greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, we are developing our sustainability strategy with clear principles designed to unite environmental awareness, social responsibility, and economic stability.
As you can see, at the Family Resort Rainer, sustainability isn’t just a concept – it’s part of our identity. We regard the South Tyrol Sustainability Label (Level 2) both as recognition of our progress and motivation to keep leading by example.
