The natural scenery around the Family Resort Rainer is spectacular. The Sexten Dolomites are on the hotel’s doorstep, and with the Three Peaks at the head of Val Fiscalina/Fischleintal, you’re in the heart of a dramatic mountain world. Whether you’re here to hike, cycle, climb, or try some mountaineering, this is your adventure playground.

Ski-in, Ski-out

We mean it literally – the piste starts right on the hotel’s doorstep. Little ones can ride the magic carpet, while older or more advanced skiers can clip in and ski straight into the Sexten Dolomites ski area.

Winter Action

Skiing is just the start. Cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, and tobogganing are all uniquely beautiful experiences here in Sexten. Blaze your own trail or team up with the professional guides from the Drei Zinnen Alpine School. In the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site, you’ll find a true playground for lovers of the outdoors. Our reception team is always happy to share route ideas and details – many adventures start right from the hotel.

The activity programme for active kids

South Tyrol is a unique adventure playground, and we’ll show your children what it’s all about with our unique Nature Programme by Familienhotels Südtirol. In 2026, the programme focuses on nature adventures and the sounds of the wild. Nature itself will be their teacher throughout the entire holiday week: on sound safaris, they’ll sharpen their senses, build a shelter in the forest out of branches and leaves, craft instruments from natural materials, solve little adventure puzzles, or learn the Survival Code.

Your children are in the very best of hands on these nature adventures. Our trained childcare staff look after each child attentively, providing a sense of security and trust, and playfully teaching them genuine nature skills. The age-appropriate programme has been developed in collaboration with nature educators and combines exciting nature experiences with creative ideas, physical activity, and knowledge. Whilst parents take some time out, the children enjoy unforgettable nature experiences that they’ll cherish forever.
