Alpacas, sheep, ducks, rabbits, geese, chickens, and guinea pigs – our friendly petting zoo residents can’t wait to be fed and petted. It’s a hands-on way for kids to learn how to interact with animals.
A family resort in the middle of the spectacular mountain world of Sexten? It’s obviously the perfect starting point for hikes, climbs, via ferrata routes, and mountain bike excursions with the whole family.
Step out of the hotel and onto the slopes – the Family Resort Rainer is right on the piste. Little ones can hop on the magic carpet, while confident skiers can head straight for the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area.

With enthusiasm and empathy, the instructors at the Drei Zinnen Ski School will guide your child through their first turns on skis. Or would they prefer to try cross-country? They’ll be in expert hands with the Sexten Ski School. Group lessons run Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; an advanced group is also available on request on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Find all the details here:
- The little ones start their course on the magic carpet right behind the hotel.
- Advanced skiers can access the Sexten Dolomites ski area from the hotel.
- Instructors collect children with full gear (gloves, ski pass, ski boots, skis) at the hotel and return them there afterwards. Monday through Friday, kids are taken to the Family Resort Rainer for a supervised lunch.
- Registration and payment are possible daily from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Family Resort Rainer’s ski school office.
- You can pick up your ski pass from our reception.
Ski hire is available from the Family Resort Rainer ski depot, open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dolomites family summer holidays!
We know what kids really want on holiday. That’s why our children’s buffet serves all their favourite (healthy) dishes each evening. While they help themselves, you can sit back with antipasti and starters. Your little ones will be excited to tell you all about the experiences and activities they have enjoyed with the childcare staff. And from 7:30 p.m., there’s another round of games in the childcare centre – so you can savour your multi-course dinner in peace.
