Rainer’s story and success begins some 40 years ago with a small bed and breakfast. Our core business is now “a family tailored world of wellness”. Besides the main building, the 4* Rainer Hotel, our Rainer Family Resort integrates three residence facilities: „Königswarte****“, “Alma***“ and “Drei Birken Villa **“. The Rainer Family Resort owes most of its success to Agnes & Willi Rainer, who are still passionately working in the family business. It would be impossible to imagine the Rainer hotel without mum Agnes, the house’s true vital spirit. The couple is supported by their offspring. Josef (Joe), the eldest son and his wife Verena (Hotel Rainer, maintenance, skiing instructor, front office and reservations). The daughter Judith with her husband Christian Schwienbacher (Residence Königswarte, service&purchase, alpine guide, PR, accounting, marketing). Alex Rainer and his wife Barbara, in charge of the „Villa Drei Birken” Residence. Christoph Rainer (Alma Residence) is in charge of strategic planning while his wife Ulla Hell, an architect, is the ideal consultant for the Resort’s new developments.
Our main mission is, and always has been, to take care of our guests, both the youngest and the grown-ups. The most important task for us is to greet them cordially, to take care of them professionally and offer them a truly relaxing holiday time, free of any thoughts and problems. Our home’s timeline

1964 Rainer Bed and breakfast opens.
1965 Extension of the Rainer Café built
1967 Rainer’s new dining room is built and half boarding service begins.
1976 All new 40 bedroom structure is built, with terrace, (Arch. P. Thurner), for the Hotel Rainer 4*.
1980-83 Regular improvements and extension work.
1985 Hotel Mirabella 4*, in Merano is purchased (and sold in 1992)
1986 Purchase and extension work on Residence Villa 3 Birken 2* (Alex Rainer)
1980-84 Regular improvements and extension work (Tyrol Stuben)
1989 Garden with 100 years old Tyrolean farmers’ mill and oven.
1990 Residence Königswarte 4* purchased and refurbished (Judith Rainer & Christian Schwienbacher)
1998 Main building refurbished and completion of the Rainer Hotel as you see it now.
2002 All rooms are completely refurnished.
2004 Residence Alma 3* (Christoph Rainer) purchased and refurbished.
2007 Residence Königswarte extended with award winning “strata” 4* wing.
2008 New 2000m² beauty and wellness area „Dolomit Panorama Spa“ is built.
